Since September 2024, SGM has been a part of the listed lighting group Golden Sea.

We are now looking for a skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our dedicated finance team.

The Position:

As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in preparing and overseeing all kinds of financial reporting – both internal and external. You will work closely with the rest of the finance team.

As this is a newly created position, the right candidate will have plenty of opportunity to shape the role, although tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and development of ongoing reports and analyses to ensure transparency in the company's financial performance.
• Identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining workflows. Implementing best practices to ensure that our department always behaves in the most professional way.
• Various development projects and analyses in collaboration with the organisation.
• Ongoing controlling and reconciliations.
• Participate in budgeting and ongoing forecasting.
• Hands-on tasks at month-end, including inventory reconciliation, financial controlling of operation, cost price analysis, etc.

We expect that you have:

• A degree in a relevant financial education, e.g. MSc in Business Economics and Auditing (cand. Merc), Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (HD-R), or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with group reporting
• Great IT skills, including advanced use of Excel and ERP systems/Business Intelligence knowledge (knowledge of Microsoft Danamics AX and PowerBI is advantageous).
• You have strong accounting skills and a basic knowledge of GAAP compliance (IFRS, DK GAAP etc.), the Danish Bookkeeping Act, transfer pricing, tax and VAT etc.
• You are a team player with a service-minded and structured approach to both internal and external partners.
• You have a natural curiosity and understand the connection between the operational and financial matters.
• Good communication skills
• You may have experience from the auditing industry and/or from a similar position. Perhaps you are currently working in a smaller production company and are now ready to try a larger group.
• You are fluent in written and spoken Danish and English. If you happen to speak Mandarin as well, that is a great bonus, but your financial skills are more important.
