As part of this commitment, SGM is in the process of establishing a state-of-the-art training facility in Aarhus, Denmark, designed to provide hands-on technical education and foster collaboration with the global lighting design community.
Hulsmans brings a wealth of experience to SGM, having spent his career in commercial roles within technical environments. He began in the semiconductor industry with NXP, before transitioning to Signify at the onset of the LED revolution. From there, he moved to eldoLED, where he specialized in the technical impact of lighting electronics - particularly how key factors like dimming, flicker, and color control shape the lighting experience. He has worked closely with the creative lighting design community, helping bridge the gap between technology and artistic vision.
“I’m thrilled to join SGM Lighting, a company at the forefront of innovation in both entertainment and architectural lighting,” said Hulsmans. “My motto has always been ‘technology education that even non-geeks can understand,’ and I’m excited to bring that approach to my work with the lighting design community. With the new training facility in Aarhus, we are taking this vision even further, creating a space where designers, system integrators, engineers, and specifiers can come together to learn, collaborate, and deepen their technical knowledge of SGM’s products and solutions.”
We are very excited to welcome Gé to SGM,” said Leif Orkelbog-Andresen, Global Sales Director of SGM Lighting ApS. “His deep expertise in the specification and integrator lighting markets, combined with his technical acumen and experience at industry titans like Signify and eldoLED, aligns perfectly with our ambitious growth plans. We are confident that his vision will strengthen our industry partnerships and expand our presence in key markets.”
